Surf Coast Events promotes special/unique events that are open to the public and located in the Surf Coast Shire. This promotion is FREE and may include promotion across social media platforms, to a large database of newsletter subscribers, on print advertising and through the Surf Coast Visitor Information Centers.
Please read the Surf Coast Events Terms & Conditions to confirm if your event is eligible to list on Surf Coast Events. Eligible events are invited to provide their event details via this SUBMISSION FORM.
Note: Regularly scheduled and smaller local community happenings, workshops, classes and gatherings are best listed on the Community Calendar on the Surf Coast Shire website and are submitted here: Submit a ‘community happening’ to our Community Calendar .
Tips for listing your event with Surf Coast Events
Prepare your event sales pitch!
This is a description of your event that includes some inspirational words to entice people to get involved. It should be short and snappy and include a call to action.
Prepare the best image/s and video to promote your event:
- At least one jpeg or png image formatted in this size is required: 1920px wide x 1080px high.
- Your image must be clear and high quality.
- Portrait sized photos, posters, brochures, logos or photos with written text are not accepted.
- Please ensure that you have copyright ownership and/or permission from the copyright owners, to use images.
Other important information to have ready to submit:
- Date, time and place of event.
- Event website.
- Event social media platform/s.
- Links for registration, booking and/or further information.
- Contact details (to find out more).
Other ways to promote your event:
List your event for FREE on the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW)
The ATDW is Australia’s national platform for digital tourism content and distribution.
When you submit a listing on ATDW your event will be promoted via search listings and on its own page on the following websites; visitvictoria.com, visitgreatoceanroad.org.au and the relevant destination website within your region.
List your event for FREE on the One Hour Out (OHO) website
One Hour Out is a website (plus associated social platforms) that promotes events, markets and experiences in regional Victoria.
Amplify your social media
Follow @SurfCoastEvents on Facebook and SurfCoast_Events on Instagram, and tag these accounts on your posts.
Partner with Surf Coast Times to promote your event

Install some temporary signage
Temporary signage, such as core flute signs, are cost effective and eye catching in the right location.
